Description:The Shack is a Internet based community radio station broadcasting from Morwell. The station was founded in 2010 by Jamie Pallot and Jason Loughrey of Morwell, and was broadcasting Live Saturday nights between 5 pm and Midnight. Jamie Pallot and Jason Loughrey have got 15 years of Radio experience between them, Jamie starting out at Gippsland FM back in 2006, and Jason in 2007 that is where they met their friends Ryan and Garry Gunn, Jamie and Garry together would do a lot of Transmitter technical issues and Radio Voice overs. After a few years a good friendship was developed, unfortunately when Ryan was diagnosed with Leukaemia and passed away, and his father Garry passed away a week later. So Jamie and Jason left Gippsland FM and decided to take a break.On a night of having a few drinks, Jason and Jamie developed The Shack. Creating a online server and building a website,. The SHACK getting its name from Jamie’s Bungalow which was at the back of his dads place when he was living at home in Morwell. The Shack or Bungalow was the place to hang out on a weekend.Since 2010 The Shack has grown into a community, and in 2012 fully developed a server and website was launched. Shortly after The Shack was discovered and has been a great community and has brought so many people together and is run 24 hours a day and 7 days a week by people all over the world.The Shack has a studio based in Moe, Drouin near Warragul, and a main studio in Churchill.
