The station signed on the air in 2001 as Canada's first urban contemporary radio station under the brand name Flow 93-5, but has since alternated between urban and rhythmic contemporary formats until October 2014, when it shifted to a classic hip hop/R&B format, then to rhythmic AC as 93-5 The Move in February 2016, and then back to rhythmic CHR in November 2017. CFXJ's studios are located at Yonge and St. Clair in Toronto's Deer Park neighbourhood, while its transmitter is located at the top of First Canadian Place in Toronto's Financial District. |
