The Office of Broadcasting and Television of Benin (ORTB) is a public institution with social, cultural and scientific character endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy. The ORTB is under the administrative supervision of the Ministry of Communication. It is headed by a Board of Directors whose members are appointed by presidential decree. The Board of Directors is vested with the broadest powers to act in any circumstances on behalf of the Board within the limits of its corporate purpose.
