When we talk about Berlin, we cannot NOT talk about music. Where cabaret ruled the Weimar era and its Golden 20s; where Bowie recorded his "Berlin Trilogy" and shared a flat with Iggy in the 70s; where techno music took flight and dominated the airwaves in the 80s, mutating into a wide field of experimental electronica, music today continues to play an elemental part of the city's cultural identity. Berlin's unique history and its easygoing, affordable lifestyle provide and nurture the perfect ground for musicians and music-lovers of all kinds. On Via Berlin, we explore the city's vivid club scene and its influences, introducing sounds by artists based in Germany's capital as well as fellow DJs and producers from all over the world.
