Episode Description

Project Management Around the World North American style is the topic of this podcast. This is the first in a series covering the second round of the #PMFlashBlog where project management bloggers around the world are sharing their thoughts about what project management is like in their part of the world. In this episode, Cheri Essner, Rich Malztman, and Mark Phillipy share their posts and discuss trends they are seeing in their part of North America. This episode was a recording of #PMHangout32 which was held as part of the Sensible Project Manager Hangout Community hosted on Google+ Hangouts On-Air. Listen to the Podcast Highlights from each of the guests Cheri Essner Cheri Essner resides outside of Toronto in Ontario Canada and her post was centered around her perspective on local PMI chapters. Specifically, she is very involved in a leadership role in her local chapter. You can read her blog post here. Rich Maltzman Rich Maltzman resides in New England which is in the north eastern portion of the United States. He educated the reader about beautiful New England and shared his thought two different projects which took part in his area of the world. Those projects were “The Big Dig” in Boston and a project by CVS to remove tobacco products from their stores. His post can be found here. Mark Phillipy Mark Phillipy resides in Washington state which is in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. He described project management as a middle aged man that is just entering puberty.
